Hola - hola readers...this time the crew, me (aizo) n mirul went to the famous "Ungah Garden" since it's been a while we went to this place might as well try our luck again...baits used were kembura, and usual kirikan...so after a long wait finally caught something unexpected...a grouper almost 2 kilos...until the next fishing trip to Serasa, the crew will catch that mongrove jack hehehe
Hello all first of all sory for the very late update due to exams so nway here is our latest trip to anduki...we manage to caught a stingray roughly 1 kilo and a 'buntal'...baits used were 'kembura' slice and small prawns...hoep to catch more fish at anduki as it still holds a potential mangrove jack scraping area hehehe
Hello people...this was another unexpected catch..this was caught by me (Aizo) the bait i used was live mullet (got it from the guy selling prawns at bandar)...i thought it was something like a barra or mangrove jack but instead this 2 meter long Eel took the bait...it took me a while to subdue this serpent but aftr minutes of fight managed to reel it in..it was released later after the photo shoot hehe
The nyt was cold...it was raining very heavily and the water is rising constantly....we decided to try something different..i bought this new hooks, sinker and swivel from LUN's fishing shop..and also...we decided to use the big prawns...well yang $1 - 5 ekor hehe....our target for tonyt was the barramundi..n i was confident to catch one tonyt...well nways..the first fish was caught by me...a barah2an...not that big about half a kilo??then the next catch was by me agen..this tym its smaller version, a katambak....unfortunately Salir only caught a small utik...den finally, Mirul caught the last fish of the nyt...a 1.5kilo ungah...congratz agen to Mirul...i wud say this trip was very unsuccesful, coz we din manage to catch a barramundi....hehehe...so anglers, once agen, cek ur tide, raining does not affect ur fishing hook ups, olwes try something new like hooks....cheers!!!
The trip to our fave spot (Batu marang) was not a succesful one...it was raining and the water was just about to rise...i only managed to catch 2 utiks, wyl Mirul caught a Langut....the picture above was caught by my bro's fren (sorry ah din catch ur name) nt sure wat's it called tho i think badung kali...or belut?? nid some I.D here...well i ges the water is not ryt that nyt and we seem to ran out of luck....is this the end of the fishbuster crew???will there be more fishing???let's find out....cheers!!!
Again...we went to batu marang to see if there's any fish left hehe..well i wud say it wasn't a very succesful one, coz for 5 hours we didn't catch anythin except one...my bro's fren, duan, caught this gelama on the very last minit (tym org ngantuk sdh kn tdur n abis sdh umpan)...so i ges the water was just ryt late that night...so advices to angler's out there cek ur tide b4 going off fishing

Rigs
Different styles of fishing require different rig setups, and while numerous standard combinations of sinkers, knots, swivel, rings, traces, and even floats, are suggested, it comes down to personal preference and what works best for you.
There are no rules, only suggestions, but the following should be seen as good principles behind a successful rig:
- Use the lightest line practicable
- Use the lightest sinker possible
- Use the longest trace you can manage
- Use the right hook for your target species
Hiya sory for the late update well here it is another fish buster fishing trip...at first it was jus me mirul n jai...we had a few bites but unfortunately we werent able to land the fish or watever is underneath the water... a few hours aftr dt edwin came and joint in the fish busting act...he was unlucky as well..we later then we decided to move to a different spot...then finally i was able to land to katambaks hehe...it looks like the nyt fishing goes to me...that nyt was me n mirul's last 'nyt fishing' as we are goin off to UK soon..till then we'll be fishing again in the near future...cheers!!
Here's another interesting trip..as usual the spot was batu marang and the nyt's crew were me,mirul, ros, edwin, jai and yui....we were testing out to see the effectiveness of using kirikans then rods...so here are the results:-
Jai caught - 1 Ungah (mangrove jack) and 1 mini-keratang (grouper)
Aizo caught - 2 katambaks
I caught 2 katambaks using rod and jai caught those two fishes using kirikans....it looks like kirikan was the winner...but i'll prove it wrong next tym on our trip...cheers pepol!!
Hello again...here's another exciting fishing at Serasa beach (Ungah garden)...the crew left to serasa early as usual, as soon as we arrived we cast out our baits...not long after that there was a quick pull from edwin's line and we thought ot was jus the current...but when edwin pulled his line to cek...there was a mangrove jack at the end of his line...the day ends with edwin being the only one who catch a fish...and it is his first mangrove jack...congratz bro!!
Baits used: sliced Mullet@kembura
Technique: kirikan with 50lb line
