merry xmas & happy advance new year to everyone XD~...
Few days back (m not sure was it 2 0r 3 days back, we had another early morning run at Serasa. The crew with the exception for Salir, aha,...and the guys, mainly Ros Edwin and Jai joined us. I arrived there at about 7am whilst Ros and Aizo came earlier. The guys were trying their luck too to catch Mangrove Jacks after a lot of fuss heard from the area of people getting MJs like almost everyday weeks back. Probably its Mangrove Jack Hunting Season hehe. The 3 of us set up our kirikans with kembura being the baits as usual. I could say, what ever happened on that day was really amusing...laughters filled the atmosphere on our part of the hunting ground. It was all due to one man, Ros. Haha I'd really have to say, he never fails to amuse me...That day his kirikan was struck first and almost got a fish, accidentally. why u might asked? Haha well he was pulling back his line as he made a bad throw earlier and while retriving, this fish came plunging like a torpedo onto his bait, it was so visible that at that point it made him became a it panicky and retrieved his line even faster. The fish didn't get hooked yet but evenso it was still visible that it was still attempting to plunge the bait. It gave another plunge on his bait, and finally it seemed to have been hooked. Slowly Ros retrieved it, until it reached the rocks. This is the accidental part here, he pulled it trying to get it on the rocks nearer to us, with him shouting telling us to help him get the fish. Aizo came with a bucket, but when he tried to pull it up further near us, suddenly the damn fish let go of the bait and jumped into this medium sized ledge filled with water and Aizo tried to capture it using a bucket, haha Thats a bucket man not a net haha...eventually the fish got smart and manage to escape by going in between the rocks...n yea there was no way we were able to get it, it was a barracuda btw, and yea who in the right mind would wana try and catch it barehanded, not with its numerous sharp teeth around.
Jai and Edwin came by later on and set up their kirikan. Jai tried a new method, it was sumtin like a cross-over of Casting and using kirikanz hehe i guess its calle castrikanz kali haha... he used this rubber frog lodged with a hook and he threw the line and retrieved it slowly as if he was casting. Anyways the other kirikanz with the mullet occasionally gets eaten and on some of our kirikanz did show the possibility of hooking up a fish but eventually in some cases the fish let go or our lines getting stuck on the rocks underwater. Ros did get get another alert when his line was seen pulled so hard but tough luck the line got tangled to something or probably the hook got stuck, nevertheless the fish was lost.
My first MJ from Serasa
As we were waiting for any bites on our lines, I noticed that one of my lines was getting tighter, which eventually was pulled as the line kept being pulled out further into the water. There was no mistaken it was a fish and hooked. I pulled the line as quick as I can to prevent the fish from trying to hide under the rocks which can make them hard to get and finally getting the line stuck instead. Pulled it hard, it gave really a good fight, but finally I got it. It was worth it despite getting cuts on your fingers, but that don't matter. It was an MJ, medium sized one which I could say only was about 500g+...But still I was rather excited coz that was my first using the Kirikan and at Serasa. You can see from the picture above on my facial expression, that was me holding back the tears of joy HAHAHA..But I know that hasn't beat the other crew members catch yet but I will keep on trying...hehe We continued to try our luck until we ran out of Kembura. Initially, we guys decided to stay a bit longer since the weather was ok not that hot and sunny..so Aizo and Jai decided to check the mfish market for more Kembura. But then, none were sold at the markets so it was finally a wrap. We packed up our stuffs and left Serasa at about 10am. It was fun, especially with the presence of the other guys, and guys, lets have another fishy outing like that..thats all for now happy fishing, Selamat HariRaya AidilAdha, and happy holidays
Its seems a long time since I've updated our lott here... I've been busy anyway battling through papers in the exam, and heck I was the last to finish anyway, but hey I'm back to update with anything I can...Exams over so its Fishing time... We've actually done a lot of fishing trips eversince the exam ended but several of our trips ended in no catch at all probably due to the weather or probably the fish were floundering somehwere else or probably the fish were simply not hungry haha which ever reason makes you happy...anyways...my update this time is about the crew's trip yesterday to anduki. We decided to make a change in our anduki trip this time by going there early in the morning and not simply casting with our artificial lures but this time back to the conventional live bait fishing...hehe btah dah nda...we left bandar at about 7 am, with Aizo's bro, Razi tagging along with us this time. We arrived at Anduki at about 830 making a stop on the way for supplies. And yea we actually got our live prawn baits earlier the day before yesterday. Upon arriving we went to this spot where we usually fish using live baits, its a good thing we went there earlier, otherwise this spot would usually be filled with other people trying their luck too.
First fish of the day
My second Lauk putih
This has to be the Whopper of the day I might say
The crew in action
Rods were set up and baits were casted out into waters. We waited and waited. The day was getting warmer, yet still no rings from our bells...so we decided its time for or big 2 duels along the sound of Paula Deanda's song while further awaiting of the ruckus on the sensors to spring ourselves into action. The long awaited for signs finally came when occasionally our rods were tugged as we see our lines getting either lose or our rods were simply pulled by something causing them to bend which happened on one of Aizo's rods. Moments later, Aizo signalled to me that one of my rods probably have something on. I tried my luck and reeled it in, and yes this time there was something. I reeled in one Lauk putih, well thats a start. This really got everyone's spirit. Aizo's bro, Razi didn't join us using live baits instead he travelled light trying his luck casting on several spots on the park. Soon came another tug from my other rod, I reeled it and again another Lauk putih... More anticipation was brought to the atmosphere after y when Razi, came back to us whoa with a nice Barracuda from casting somewhere not far where we were deploying our live baits. Despite the day getting blazing hot by time coz it was almost 12pm, with our fishing spirits we held on with much hopes of catching bigger fishes. Aizo and myself from that moment set up our casting gear and it was time for us to try our luck by casting. But eventually, we came off dry, not a single tug or ring from the bells and even our casting rods. As soon as the live baits ran out, we packed our gear up and finally decided to head home. We finished the trip at about 230pm. Everyone was tired and sleepy. I would say its a good trip at least fishes were caught, even if I was hoping for bigger fish. Well congratz to Razi, with his first very own fish with his casting gear. I would say his Barracuda slayed by his lure would be the highlight of the day. There would be more trips by the crew in the future. It was fun guys, haha especially with the Paula Deanda song, even the fish like it. hehe....
hello people...here's another MJ caught at Serasa beach...i went off at 6.30 am n arrived around 7ish...i was supposed to be fishing w jai bt i ges he'll b late..wyl waiting for him i cast out my kirikans w kembura...with only about 10 mins one of my kirikan got a bite..at last another MJ...so happy to catch it hehe...den jai came w edwin as well....we continued fishing..even tho edwin's kirikan always got a bite but i ges d hooks din rily got into d fish's mouth...menyangkut tia plang haha...

Hello peeps wana update on our fishing trip today.....today we went off early only me n salir..we're still missing one crew due to tortures of the examination..gudluck mirul...so nway...we went to Serasa at 4PM....it was not quite sunny so nda pedah tani bawa payung ah haha..
as usual we set up our kirikanz...oops..i mean both my kirikan (salir borrowed mine hehe) n cast it away.....i brought my fishing rod as well n setting it up w a leader...bt it will b different...i used a dead prawn..stole from d freezer (sory mom)...so i used it n cast it into the open water..we were jus waiting for a bites from our kirikanz..i was rily concentrating on my kirikan bt when i turn my head left to cek my rod it was bending like crazy...almost like a 'U'....so w/o delay i ran n grab my rod n started reeling it in....and at last it was a kerapu....not quite big only about half a kilo bt making my rod bending like dat it rily is a strong contender...
well not long aftr dt salir got a bite on the kirikan..the pull was strong so he pulled bt to no avail the culprit got away..possibly another ungah for salir bt tough luck mayts hehehe....better luck next tym salir....
so we kept fishing until our bait ran out so its tym we go home....once agen another great fish buster fishing even tho we only caught one bt enuf to put a smile on our faces...GO FISH BUSTERS!!!!!

w/o any delays salir jus giv out his usual excuse of sleeping late n borrowed my kirikan...n den jus after about 15mins his bait was taken....it is no doubt dt judging by the 'pull' it makes it cud be an MJ....a BIG one!!
so Salir...together w my help...pulled n pulled d line n finally...no mistaking it...an MJ....alas!! Salir w his smiling face :-)
the MJ caught was about 2KGs....but hey man..ur in a long way to go in reaching my 3kgs haha..after about 10 we all left due to insufficient kembura...at least we're happy to catch sumthin rather than nuthin....
once agen congratz fish buster Salir for taming d "vampire" of Serasa beach....
P.S. I helped him hehe
hello anglers its been a while since i myself updated this wonderful blog of fishing (nada tangkapan bh hehe) so nway, today i wana share my story not fishing but keeping fish instead...that's right..and don't be surprised..but i keep marine fishes..but not just any fishes...its a Mangrove jack...and also...a blue-lined grouper...and whats more surprising...they're both in one tank and both are still alive haha....
both fishes are known to be territorial and having a reputation of aggressive behaviours...this is not sumthin that u shud keep together..but for me by luck i put both MJ and BL grouper in one tank...and now they are swimming freely and happily....guna buy a new tank a bigger one so they can swim more freely.....
how i got dem?from fishing of course hehe....i caught the BL grouper just before the fasting months and the MJ just after my exams are over hehe....i called my babies, SALLY and BENIHIME!!!
i duno wat theyre genders are so m guna try n search for it on the net...but hopefully, they'll be living longer in the tank hehe...i will update on the progress of my babies and by that tym hopefully they'll become giants...till den cheers and happy fishing!!
note: if u wan any tips of how to keep marine fishes feel free to ask!! :) :) :)
Fish buster Aizo

"Yes 1st fish of the night, get the champagne...Nevermind just use the Heaven & Earth"
"Please return back my hook, I promise I won't eat ya"
"For making me show my 'leap of hope', damn this is what I get"
Aizo "Finally after 10 minutes of waiting, I've Finally caught one"
Things that we do for fun while waiting, notice the lit prawn cracker...
Saliro Sembilang
Aizo's Sembilang
Achooo...Behabuk dah kli blog ani...haha...the crew has quite been busy as of lately...me with my reports, Aizo and Salir with their assignments...mengupdate pun batah...here's the latest fishy trip last Thursday at Batu Marang. The trip was totally unplanned, which started from each of us whinning of being bored and stressed... As usual, the crew set out early at about 730pm...the normal routine, as usual, getting our live baits where we bought about $3 of those 3 large ones for $1 and about $3 also for those which gave us 8 prwans for $1. We arrived at the scene at about almost 9 if I'm not mistaken...that time the water level was quite high, I guess it was due to the rain. We set up our gear and plunged our baits immedietly....as usual while the await for any rings from the rods as usual we had card games....
About an hour has passed, yet still no fish brought up eventhough there were several rings from our rods. Finally, Salir's bait got chomped up and hooking one. He reeled it in quick with the first fish of the night, a ketambak. What a relief that was. Our Big 2 crusades continued on...Not until again Salir's rod got the alert a fish was on...He did his famous 'Leap of Hope' this time and reeled up hooking up another Ketambak, smaller then the earlier one. A series of rebaiting and re-casting went on after that. We thought that might have just been the end, maybe no more fish, coz the water level started to lower down bringing all this murky water from upriver. But that wasn't the end...Aizo's rod gave a warning and without any hesitation he reeled another Ketambak...
The long await started again after that...Salir with all his boredom, haha he simply made experiments with the stuffs we got there haha n I was particularly amused with the work he did with the pringles container and several pieces of prawn crackers we had with us. after a while finally another nudge caught our ears coming from Salir's rod...he leaped again and reeled in a Sembilang. Haven't seen them quite a while...haha....not even 30 mins has passed, this time Aizo's rod gave us the attention...His has bent quite almost into a U shaped this time...could this be it, could this be the first Barra...reel...reeel...NO, it was a Sembilang, so much resistance coming from an average sized Sembilang hehe....No sembilang's were injured or killed in this trip hehe the crew practices a good catch-n-release concept for the Sembilangs..Lets conserve them HAHAHA....the trip ended about 1.30am....Packed our stuffs and left with smiling faces...HAha the exams is bound for us...No fishy for a while I guess...WE WILL BE BACK

The raya festive break is over...Its time to fish...Last Saturday, we marauded Batu Marang again...The crew was joined by Punpungman's Fez...that night...That night we set out way earlier then usual, Aizo and myself set at about 7pm but first to go for raya. Salir was out on a family raya function. We went to a few open houses before we decided to go to Batu Marang because it was raining as the nights before and we wanted to wait until the weather cleared. However, unfortunately by 9 it was still pouring down so we decided to go on with the plan but at a different spot than our usual spot there....fishing spirit kali ah...We decided to fish at lagoon where we had shelter from the rain...the place was empty lucky for us where usually there would be other anglers around. So we set up our gears, cast our baits and waited...we weren't there for 30 mins yet, Aizo's rod got nudged which eventually made his rod bend...it was certainly a large fish looking at the bend of his rod. Aizo reeled in as fast as he could. The fish gave a really good fight and even entangled to the every other fishing line we had nearby. After a while the culprit was finally reeled up...both of us actually thought it was a Barra..haha but NOT...it was another MJ....which adds up to Aizo's MJ tally to 9 now...hahaha....That was a good catch man..the fishing continues...a short time after that, it was my turn, my line was nudged and I immedietly attended to reel it in which got me a Gelama...again...haha...soon after that another culprit hit Aizo's....reeled it in this time with a Kerapu....
At about 12am, finally Salir and Fez came, they set up there stuffs and upon seeing what me and Aizo bagged earlier was enough to make them envy and hopeful to catch one too, especially to Salir. They set fast and launched there baits out into the open water of the lagoon. The rain finally stopped by that time. After quite a while, Salir reeled in a Sembilang, in relation to its small size, it actually gave a hard time to reel in for Salir hehe...again we thought it might be a Barra as it really made Salir's rod bend like crazy...tough luck it was not...well the Sembilang was releases back into the water...udah atu catch and release tia, airwolf ko bunuh...Fez later on joined the lot with his own catch, a Ketambak...don't account for it's size, it's much better than returning empty handed...the Trip ended about 2pm, well simply because we were out of livebaits...we packed up and went home...it was a good trip and congrats Aizo for the MJ, yea man I know even I'm suprised that you landed an MJ there... Peace out....

The Micheal Jackson of Anduki aka Ungah
Today the Fishbusters crew went for another outing at Anduki...well it was a rather short casting session there. We started casting off at about 4pm today...after setting our casting gears which kinda took a while haha its been a wyl since the whole crew casted...this tym we did in anduki hoping to catch sumtinn...after our gears are set we immedietly casted our lures...in this trip we decided to cast at different spots nt at our usual spots to round up and cast. Aizo and me tried at different spot... I actually tried on this spot near to the RC boat racing area...after a few casts, my line was pulled hard ...OH YEAH GAME ON....So many things came into my mind of wat it cud be...cud be a fish or cud be a croc haha yea iv tot of dat too coz of the powerful resistance that i was getting...this 'buster' gave me quite a fight... but eventualy it lost anyway...I reeled in quite a big Mangrove Jack...the sight of my MJ really got Salir's attention n he got up his ass to start casting even in his under-the-weather condition....about an hour after that, we all decided to pack up...well another nice outing for the crew with me this time with the catch...Guys lets plan for another anduki outing after the raya break...I hope we can even get bigger ones than this one I've caught today...Guys time for Barra-fighting...
*****Last but not least I would just like to wish everyone an advance Selamat HariRaya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir & Batin...enjoy ur Raya people....*****

!st catch of the night...
The Gelama
Last night the crew had another outing at our Rock Marang spot...as usual the fish police made up of officers, Aizo, Salir and myself we're ready for another fish crime busting hahaha...it was about time we guys memajal at this spot with aizat and me earlier on the day bought some goldfishes to experiment on as live baits as what we've read on a angling magagzine....we guys set off at about 9ish. as usual we had to go to Bandar first to get our stock of prawns and yea we got a lot of them last night alongside with the earlier stock of goldfish....kan memajal kli kami ahhh we got to the spot at about 10...and on reaching the fish busters spot, we deployed every rod we had with us coz we we're having a large scale 'operation'......
We haven't been there about 15 minutes, the first culprit was caught trying to snag the prawn from AIzo's line....what do you know...another Gelama....that showed us we were in for a night hoping for more catches...we waited and waited and as usual played cards while waiting for more 'criminals' get caught on our little 'traps'....since we had a very short supply of bells we we had to use our Tiger visions to look if any activities are happening on our rods. The long await was paid off as this time another culprit fell for the trap and this time it was on my rod...reeled it in fast and yea baby...caught another gelama...that was convincing enough to encourage us more that we could get much more out of this spot even if not at that moment maybe in the upcoming trips. After some time of waiting again..we were suprised again by the sound of another ring from the bell on Aizo's rod...to our amazement Aizo's rod was bending like almost in the shape of a complete you...if you cant visualize how it is, well I can only tell you that it ain't something of any size of the previous catches we had before. Aizo reeled it in slowly as this big mobster was trying to get loose from the hook. the reeling in was quite tough, took quite a lot of energy from Aizo to get it even closer....we could even see the fish jump out of the water on occasions which we saw to have the description of being silverish in body colour, had a wider body size and no it doesn't look like any Gelama or those not game fish you might have in mind....as the fish got closer to the titian being reeled in by Aizo...it was clear to us that this fish is the mafia that we all hoped for...if you wana know what I'm talking about, yes it was the Barramundi that Aizo has hoped on of poaching....even at that close distance from the titian where we stood, getting it closer was so tough the fish fought and fought which finally it went under our feets right under the titian where it finally gave the slip and got loose by removing the hook using the Bintur or some net that in the water right under the titian. Damn that was very dissdapointing, I really hoped for that Barra to be reeled up....and we know Aizo was very dissapointed by that...tough luck dude, i guess the fish are getting smarter, maybe next time dude you will and not let the fish outsmarting us this time. The whole operation lasted for several hours until about 3am where we were out of baits and the rain started pouring down...it was a wrap by that time. Eventhough, it was another successful operation for the crew...but i personally feel it was dissapointing that, that 'mafia' was able to be reeled in succesfully..well maybe better luck next time Aizo....we just have to keep on fish busting

My my...Its been a while agian since I've updated this blog with sumtin...I was having some problems with my Memory card Reader and plus was busy too with Uni stuff..anyways...this is my update for 2 Rock Marang trips review that is overdue...we had a trip to Batu Marang again just before our break ended last week we decided to try our luck again at Batu Marang. It was the usual 3 of us, Aizo, Salir and myself. The guys were lucky in the last trip which resulted in a number of fishes caught by Aizo and Salir, that made me really keen to try my luck again at the spot...honestly i didn't actually think we might get anytin out of the spot on that night because it was raining in the afternoon but hey suprisingly I did caught a Gelama haha...at last this 'baby' added one more fish species to my list of fishes I've caught~~ The Shakespeare strikes again...haha...the guys Aizo and Salir came home empty handed that night but hey I would say it was another good trip for the FIsh Busters
The second trip to Batu Marang on my review, is the trip we had last Wednesday. The usual starting line-up again...We guys setted off from home at about 10pm coz Salir picked us up a bit late then scheduled...we went to Bandar as usual to get some live baits and in this trip Aizo decided to go with Kembura too as baitt....We arrive at Batu Marang at about 10.45. we went to our usual spot, launched our baits to the water...we waited and waited...after a while of changing our baits and recsting and a series of lost baits I would've broken silence that night with a ketambak...for its small size it felt heavier to reel in as if it was a 3kg Kerapu or sumtin...being able to see it floating on the the water surface you would also question this of how this small 'guy' could put up a larger force than it should...the fish was lying on its sides as if it was dead as i still tried to reel it in coz it was still a bit hard to reel in. Eventually I realised the problem, another fishing line was entangled with my line and it was keeping me from easily reeling in that Ketambak...unfortunately, my line snapped because of the extra line and yea I lost the Ketambak..."Lost Fish, Line Break" fisherman's bait style haha...that was tough luck...I rigged up a new hook then recasted...it was disapointinh tho...not more than 15 mins after that AIzo's rod got signalled the bite of a fish and he rushed to reel in this BIG WHOPPER...man.was that Kerapu big...he landed that 1kg Kerapu in which he thought it was another fish coz usually Kerapu won't put up much a fight like that....well who says kerapu can't give a tough fight like an Ungah....haha NICE CATCH DUDE....Me and Salir came back empty handed this time and yea sasak ku eh putus line ku, nmpak dh ampai2 atas air Ketambak ah The climax of that night well for me was Salir's 'Leap of Hope' as we have named it...if any of you guys are lucky to see this special move by Salir you would know what Me and Aizo were laughing off our assess about HAHA.''if you're lucky you would see this move when Salir gets a bite from his rod and the bells rings HAHA...Yes Ril extend your legs to the stars above HAHA...We guys wrapped the for the night at about 230am...ANOTHER SCORE FOR THE FISHBUSTERS at BATU MARANG.....CHEERS people....

Tadaaaa...... another of our excapades of fishing....the crew came out of our their shells again and went fishing last night ...this time to Batu Marang again....the usual 3 of the crew Aizo, Mirul and myself along with Fez from the Pungpungman gang....Mirul and Aizo ran an errand first to get the bait at Bandar and we met up with them at Batu Marang at about 10. We launched our lines as soon as we get to the spot....
On our last trip there several days back, only aizat got a game fish, but i couldn't remember what it was actually and yea I didnt get any but Mirul caught something though ...A Langut hhaha....NOT GAME FISH... anyways back to the trip last night...haha it was a very productive trip eventhough Mirul was the only one who came back empty handed this time...In total, we guys caught about 5 fishes all together with Aizat with an Ompak and a Gelama, me with 2 Gelama and fez with a Tambak... Haha not to forget the highlight of the night the tin can that I got haha yea Mir gilaaa melawan TIN ah..... haha....we guys as usual in every of our trip to Batu Marang, we seem never to miss out on our Big two game...haha...at about 2am we finally gave in cause as there wasn't as much bites as earlier of the trip...we only got many mosquito bites.... we packed up our stuffs and went home.. there will be more trips soon....and nice catch guys
